VINTAGE JAPANESE TEXTILES ----- HAND STITCHING ----- PASTELS ----- DRAWING ----- COLLAGE ----- NATURE The name Studio Hakuro is inspired by the 72 microseasons of Japan. Each microseason lasts approximately five days. 白露 Hakuro (White dew) is the 15th sekki (division), incorporating three microseasons, named 'dew glistens white on grass', 'wagtails sing' and 'swallows leave'. Hakuro usually falls in September. The short duration of each microseason has an immediacy that invites both reflection and a closer connection to nature. Follow studio.hakuro on instagram for a poetic journey through the Japanese year.
