Supplies - Forest Floor and Moss in Embroidery

Yesterday I visited the amazing Knitting & Stitching Show at Alexandra Palace and came away really inspired! The sheer wealth of supplies and materials for sale really blew my mind, not to speak of the incredible work of the exhibiting textile artists... I couldn't resist buying some threads and fibres for the project I'm working on - forest floor and moss in embroidery.

Most of what you can see in the picture (threads, beads, silk carrier rods and cocoons) was bought from Oliver Twists, their stall was incredible and I spent a long time looking and choosing. The beautiful selection of silk threads called 'driftwood' at the bottom right of the picture is from Mulberry Silks who had a stall at the show, too, and it was great to see the variety of colour themes they do in person. I bought my thread pack a while ago and have used them a couple of times, but this is the project they have been waiting for - I can't wait to start stitching!
