Vintage - Handwoven Asanoha Kimono Silk

I have just listed this wonderful vintage handwoven tsumugi silk with a yarn-dyed woven asanoha pattern in my Etsy Shop. Asanoha is a classic geometric Japanese pattern of interlocking six-pointed stars, which is often found on vintage and antique textiles from Japan. It is also a popular pattern for sashiko, and I have often thought it would make a wonderful patchwork or needlepoint applique pattern. This silk is such an elegant understated pale duck egg blue, the cream geometric pattern has little lime green highlights in some of the stars' centres, which just make it in my opinion!
